The Pembroke Recreation Department offers the following programs in November and December. Activities are scheduled at the community center, 128 Center St. Pre-registration is required for all recreation programs. Stop by the recreation office or call 781-293-3249.

• After School Program: Now accepting registrations; annual registration fee is $25 per person. Full week for child costs $26 or two children for $42. Individual days cost $8.

• Magic Music Time: Four-week session designed for children ages 3-5, offered Friday mornings from 10:30-11 a.m., beginning Dec. 4. Cost is $50.

• Rec. 123 Club: Children in grades 1-3 are invited to enjoy a special edition of open recreation with gym games, games and arts and crafts. Children will get to bring home a holiday craft. Two dates are available: Nov. 14 and Dec. 12 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Cost is $10 per evening.

• Rec. 45 Club: Children in grades 4-5 are invited to enjoy a special edition of open recreation in which they can play basketball and other gym games and visit the game room. Two more dates are available: Nov. 7 and Dec. 5 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Cost is $10 per evening.

• Table Tennis: For students in grades 7-9; held on Monday afternoons from 3:30-5:30 p.m. The first session runs through Nov. 24. Volunteers needed at 3 p.m. to help set up table. Each volunteer will receive community service time. Session one is free; each additional session (next one is Dec. 1-Jan. 5) will cost $12 pre-paid or $3 drop-in, if space is available.

• Adult Table Tennis: Drop in the community center Mondays around 6 p.m. and speak with Jim for availability and cost.

Opera House Performances:

• Dirty Dancing: March 10, departing community center at 6:15 p.m. for a 7:30 p.m. show. Show will last 2 1/2 hours; group should be back in Pembroke by 11 p.m. Cost is $85 per person with only 30 seats.

Day trips:

• New York City: Holiday shopping and sightseeing, Saturday, Nov. 22. The group will depart from the community center at 6:30 a.m. onboard a luxury Silver Fox Motor Coach. On arrival in New York, stops will be made at both Rockefeller Center and Macy’s. The Rockefeller Christmas Tree will be on display for your viewing pleasure. Then participants are on their own to enjoy the city; get an early start to Christmas shopping, spend the day sightseeing, or visit New York’s world’s largest department stores, the finest museums and Broadway. The group will depart New York at 6 p.m. and return to Pembroke at approximately 10:30 p.m. Cost is $50 per person.

• New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills: Dec. 27-28. Travel aboard a luxury coach to Buffalo, N.Y. After arrival, participants may visit the Seneca Casino in Niagara Falls, N.Y. or stay at the hotel and enjoy its amenities. Day two: Breakfast is included. The group will watch the game in reserved seats at the Ralph Wilson Stadium at 1 p.m. Late-night return home. Tour costs are: $299 per single person, $229 per person for a double and $219 per person for a triple.
