A Carver woman faces drug charges after police observed her allegedly selling a bag of marijuana to a man outside the Pembroke Woods apartment complex last Friday. Antonette M. Cabral, 26, of Carver was arrested on Feb. 20 after police observed her allegedly make a drug transaction with a male in the parking lot of the apartment building. The man ran off, but another officer was able to stop Cabral on Oak Street and searched her vehicle, allegedly finding 14 individually packaged bags of marijuana, 23 percocet pills and 66 prescription meclizine pills, according to the report. Cabral did not have a prescription for the pills and allegedly admitted to selling a bag of marijuana to the man. She was arrested and charged with possession to distribute Class B (percocet) and D drugs (marijuana) and possession of a Class E drug (meclizine). Cabral was arraigned Monday in Plymouth District Court and pleaded not guilty. She is due back in court on April 8. |
