The quick actions of a 13-year-old baby sitter helped ensure the safety of her charges and limit the damage done when a fire broke out at a home on Pine Mill Drive on Monday night. A home on Pratt Farm Lane has been deemed uninhabitable after flames and heavy smoke from a Monday morning fire damaged the lower level of the two-year-old home.
A man mowing his lawn Saturday afternoon was alerted to the fact that his house was on fire by neighbors who saw thick black smoke in the area.
Pembroke firefighters were called to a house fire at 89 Harvard Street on Saturday afternoon. The homeowner had been mowing his lawn when neighbors alerted him to smoke coming from the house. A two-alarm blaze destroyed a large one-and-a-half-story garage and top floor apartment at 6 Park Street on Sunday afternoon.
