Skate park supporters might have gone home again Monday night without a location— or at least a spot they didn’t ask for — except for a second chance.

The Pembroke Skate Park Committee is holding a car wash on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. behind the community center. All proceeds will go toward park construction and equipment. Volunteers are needed to help out; individuals can earn community service hours. Bring sponges and/or dirty cars and support local youth in their quest for a skate park. Local skaters aren’t the only ones who want their park to be in the center of things. Adult advocates, too, think a central spot is the best idea, and they’re asking selectmen for support.
